It’s a new day! It’s a new adventure!

The final day of having the Uhaul truck took us along highway 16 along most scenic mountain and valleys. Traveling through tunnels in the mountainside, the engineering and execution must have been tremendous!
Arriving in Cody, we walked the main street looking at all the shops. Quite the western town. A local recommended Granny’s for breakfast and it did not disappoint!! They were hopping and the food was great and reasonably priced. I believe it’s known as the oldest restaurant in town. Back on the road, pronghorn deer were now present in the fields along the highway. The road was straight and went on as far as the eyes could see!
Along the way, information about the wild mustangs was on the roadside. Unfortunately, we did not see any horses. Around 2, we arrived in Worland and unloaded the truck except for Drew’s bike. Off he went to return the Uhaul putting us back on tour. A mile walk to the local grocery store and we had dinner for the night-TV dinners. What great memories! When my dad worked out of town, Mom would let us pick out TV dinners for our meals. We thought it was the bomb, each of us selecting the items we wanted. Doing this tonight made us feel like kids again. Oh, and I guess in Wyoming, you can buy liquor from a drive-thru! Back at our room, we prepared for the following day’s ride. It felt good to have the weather behind us and back to Plan A!
Sorting through items we collected over the past few days and getting back to the bare essentials, we filled the trash cans with coffee cups, plastic bags and other extras we aren’t going to carry. Lastly, one load of laundry was done so all our clothes were washed and we could go forward for the next 3 days clean!
We are ready to ride!
