Happy Father’s Day!

I spent much of the day thinking of my dad. With nothing to compare with, I grew up feeling Dad was hard on us. While friends were gallowed to do this or that, we weren’t. And although I was upset as a youngster, as an adult I get it. He was protecting us from an ugly world we knew nothing about. And he knew what we were capable of even though we, once again, had no idea. He wanted the best for us and pushed us to push ourselves to achieve goals others only dreamed of.
And once again, I find myself in a relationship with someone who believes in me. When I first looked at our tour schedule for 2025, it scared me. I’ve never ridden so many consecutive days or climbed that kind of elevation… not even on a light weight road bike! In a kind and loving way, Drew always conveyed he believed I could do it but there was a safety escape if I needed it. But I didn’t stop. I needed a stretch goal… to push my limits… search for the edges of my world. Thank you for believing in me. My confidence is being restored allowing me to live my best life ever!

Our ride was so beautiful today. We saw an eagles nest while we rode along
Bike Route 10, passing quiet meadows and large ranches. About 10 miles in, we found a Garmin 610 Montana GPS device on the side of the road.
Lots of fun whimsical art was along the way.
Somewhere along the backroads, we passed into state of Montana. We traveled along the beautiful Clark Fork river and railroad tracks.
The town of Trout Creek which was bustling with families.
Arriving in Thompson Falls, we checked in and went to a quick bite. What an amazing day!
