Once again, we’ve escaped the rain! It pored last night and now the morning sky is just beautiful!
We’ve learned how much moisture there is in the area. It must be quite a challenge to keep things dry. We are seeing dehumidifiers in most stores/buildings. Mildew is frequently noted in bathroom/shower areas. I noticed a small puddle under the microwave so I moved it to wipe up the fluid. And discovered growth in the water. What a challenge people have who live in these conditions!!
We traveled through the home town of our friend Bill Green. Such a beautiful place!
Since we had taken a few mile detour to visit Bill’s home town, we made our way back on track, and before we knew it, we were at Lake Erie! It is so huge! It looks like the ocean!
There were really cool sand sculptures on the beach. Nearby, was a Morton salt plant, how cool.
Arriving in Madison, we no more got checked in and rain, rain, rain, it dumped buckets!
Pizza from last night and a frozen meal from the hotel store served as dinner.
Living life simply.
